My Story

Depression | Anxiety | Chronic Illness | Alcohol Abuse Abusive Relationships | Self-Hate | Suicidal

I grew up in a home with a lot of fighting and turmoil and not a lot of love. I was very scared to speak up and use my voice from a young age. I got married very young to escape my home life but ended up with an abusive partner. I experienced so much mental and physical trauma up to that point and never processed my emotions, and I never felt safe wherever I was.

I had two beautiful kids in that marriage, and when I started the divorce process in 2009, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. This was a very dark time for me. Going through this alone, I suffered from extreme depression and anxiety, I was suicidal, and struggled with alcohol.

I hated who I was becoming and knew I had to pull myself out of this to raise my kids. I was determined to turn my life around and heal myself from within. I did everything; Therapy, rehab, meditation, medications, gym, and diet changes. Along my healing journey, Breathwork found me, and it fundamentally changed me. It has helped me through my trauma, connect with my mind, body, and soul, and manage my stress and anxiety, all of which keep my MS in remission. I am on a mission to help as many people as possible discover the power of their breath and what it can do for them.

Today I live a happy, healthy, very fulfilling life.
