What is breathwork?
Breathwork is an active meditation form of consciously working your breath to bypass the mind and enter a different state of awareness.
We store trauma and emotions in our bodies, in the cells, and in the tissues. When we are breathing in these deep breath patterns of Holotropic breathing, it is a way to move that energy and release it.
It stimulates your vagus nerve and takes you out of the fight or flight, and puts you in a parasympathetic state, a state of relaxation.
It is a tool used to get out of the mind and drop into the body, relax our nervous system and calm our minds down.
